How to correct an "...FM_Data_Binding..." error when attempting to view a visit.
Visits created from data transferred to ACPM from Amazing Charts with discrepancies between the number of diagnosis codes and the diagnosis pointers cannot be viewed without an "...FM_Data_Binding..." error and cannot be edited using normal means. Use the following steps to edit and correct the cause of the error.
1. Select View/Change.
2. Press and hold the space bar and Esc key, release, then do it again.
You will still be in the error but should have a flashing cursor in the first field.
3. TAB through the fields until you get to the first blank Diagnosis field, if you go too far click into the field.
4. Enter a diagnosis code or use the F4 key to display the drop-down list, the arrow key to highlight an item, and the enter key to select an item.
5. Repeat until there are as many diagnosis codes as there are pointers.
6. Use the F2 function key twice to save this entry.
7. Close the error message.
8. Load the patient chart and select View/Change for the visit.
9. Fix the diagnosis pointers in the Diagnosis field under the Charge Summary to reflect the correct number of diagnosis codes, save once, remove the diagnosis codes you entered, and save again.
