How to Export EHI in Bulk
The EHI Export feature is designed to facilitate efficient data export for both individual patients and patient populations within a comprehensive healthcare system. This comprehensive functionality caters to two primary scenarios: exporting data for a single patient or exporting data for a patient population. In the patient population scenario, users have the flexibility to select patients based on different criteria, such as Provider, All Active Patients, All Patients, or Patients within an Encounter Range.
In both the single patient and patient population scenarios, a dedicated folder is created for each patient, marked with a timestamp to facilitate easy identification. The exported data is formatted in a machine-readable manner to ensure interoperability and ease of data processing.
Note: This process should be done from the main computer in the office. If you are on our hosted solution, then it can be done from any computer. It is also recommended that this process be run after hours when no one is using Amazing Charts, to ensure accuracy of the data.
- From the main screen of Amazing Charts, click on “View – Administrator Options”
- Enter the Admin Password set by the practice
- Click on the “Import/Export” button
- Select “Export EHI” on the left hand side
- A new screen will open allowing you to select the options you wish to select for exporting the file
- The Providers section will let you export for all providers, or for those patients that have a specific patient listed as their "Preferred Provider" in the demographics screen
- The Patients section will allow you to select "All Patients", "Active Patients", or "Specific Patient". If "Specific Patient" is selected, you will need to enter the patient ID.
- The Encounters Section lets you select what encounters are included in the export. You can chose a date range or "N/A Export All"
- We recommend that you select the “N/A Export All” option to export all encounters.
- Select the path to download the file by clicking the “…” option on the screen

You can also chose to schedule the export. This will let you set the start time or date if you want to have the export run after hours or over the weekend. Please note that the computer will need to be on for this to happen.
