Add Amazing Charts Enhanced Security Settings
This article will explain how to set up enhanced security protection for your Amazing Charts EMR, including additional password protection and log-in and out settings.
- Click on VIEW in the toolbar at the top of the Schedule screen.
- Click on Administrative Options from the dropdown.
- Type your Administrative Password into the field labelled PASSWORD and press the LOG-IN button.
- Click on the button labelled USER ACCOUNT & SECURITY.
- On the side menu bar, click the option for ADVANCED SECURITY.
- On the side menu bar, click the option to turn on ENHANCED SECURITY.
- At the top of right-hand pane in the window, choose the options you wish to activate:
a. Require passwords to be case sensitive (capital and lowercase letters).
b. Require passwords to be alphanumeric (numbers and letters).
c. Choose how many characters long you wish to require passwords to be from the dropdown.
d. Choose an option for policy on using previously used passwords from the dropdown.
e. Choose if you wish to set up lock-out options by inactivity.
f. Choose if you wish to have Amazing Charts lock-out a user after a # of failed attempts, and how many attempts you allow.
g. Enter a message you wish to appear to users on the log-in screen to open Amazing Charts (i.e. "Don't forget to smile at our patients." or "Happy Birthday Dr. Sue!").
- Click the Save Info button at the bottom right of the screen.
