Percentage of patients, regardless of age, diagnosed with HIV prior to or during the first 90 days of the measurement period, with an eligible encounter in the first 240 days of the measurement period, whose last HIV virial load test result was less than 200 copies/mL during the measurement period.
Numerator
Patients with a last HIV viral load test result of less than 200 copies/mL during the measurement period.
Results must be entered into Amazing Charts in one of the following ways:
- Lab Interface: Imported from HL7 Lab Interface. Results must be named "HIV 1 RNA" or "HIV 2 RNA"
- Tracked Data: Entered into Tracked Data
- Open the patient's chart and click on the "Summary Sheet" tab
- Tracked Data is located on the right hand side, in the middle of the screen
- Click the "Add/Edit " button
- Test name should be "HIV 1 RNA" or "HIV 2 RNA"
- Enter the Value
- Enter the Date Collected
- Click "Move Data To Grid"
- Click "Ok"
- Click "Save and Close"
Denominator
All patients, regardless of age, diagnosed with HIV prior to or during the first 90 days of the measurement period with at least one eligible encounter in the first 240 days of the measurement period. Patient must meet all of the following conditions:
- Exists an active diagnosis of HIV. If newly diagnosed during the reporting year, the diagnosis must be made within the first 90 days of the reporting period
- Exist one eligible Encounter during the first 240 days of the reporting period
