Disabling pharmacy request notifications in AC

When a pharmacy sends a request, such as a refill request, Amazing Charts shows an alert on screen. It can also drop a message into your inbox for each one. If you get a lot of requests, those extra messages pile up fast.

This guide shows you how to turn off the extra messages and keep only the on-screen alert.

Before you begin

Applies to Amazing Charts users who receive ePrescribing (eRx) pharmacy requests
Time needed About 1 minute
Access required Your own Amazing Charts login. No administrator access is needed.
Good to know This is a user preference, so it only changes the setting for your login. Other users in your practice keep their own settings.

Step by step

1

Open User Preferences

On the main screen of Amazing Charts, go to the menu bar at the top and click Edit > My Preferences > User Preferences.

You can also press Ctrl+U to open it directly.

2

Uncheck the pharmacy request message setting

In the User Preferences window, click Prescriptions in the list on the left.

Find the eRx Settings section and uncheck Send a message for each pharmacy request (in addition to on screen alert).

Only change this one box. Leave the other eRx settings, such as Enable popup alerts of ePrescribing issues, the way they are.

3

Save your changes

Click Save Changes in the lower right corner of the window.

What happens next

New pharmacy requests will still appear as an on-screen alert, but Amazing Charts will no longer send a message to your inbox for each one.

To turn the messages back on, follow the same steps and check the box again, then click Save Changes.
