How can "...connection timeout..." errors when attempting to access the MEDfx ASP hosted login page be resolved?
Connections from unknown public IP addresses are blocked by the MEDfx ASP hosting service. Connection timeout is the response given when the address is blocked. New public IP addresses must be added to the whitelist at the hosting service before the connection will be allowed.
1. Obtain the current public IP address of the computer attempting to access the MEDfx ASP login page:
Search for the phrase "what is my ip address" or "what is my ipv4 address" using an online search engine from the computer attempting access.
The search results should provide either the address itself or a link to a free online service that can provide this such as www.whatismyip.com or www.whatismyipaddress.com. Only the IPv4 version can be used, not the IPv6.
2. Log into the Hosting Operations Self-Service Portal at:
https://hosting-ops.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/9
3. Select "MedFX" and then "Technical Support" links.
4. Enter the summary formatted as follows:
Add IP address ###.##.###.## to the MEDfx ASP whitelist at the hosting service for client {client name} ({client code})
5. Email caretracker_HO@harriscomputer.com from your personal work email address with a subject formatted as follows:
"MEDfx - New HOPS JIRA request {HOPS JIRA request number} - {Hubspot ticket number}"
Format the email body as equal to the HOPS portal request summary.
